Whether you need a color refresh, a new cut based off a Pinterest board, extensions for that full and polished look, makeup and blowout for an event, or planning your big day, our industry veterans are ready for any request.
We believe the experience is as important as the service from the moment you step onto the piazza to the moment you waltz out. It’s our promise and priority to make sure that you feel heard, relaxed, and beautiful.

Come feel at home

Alyssa’s

TAKE

Hospitality is an art form –  fantastic hospitality elevates any and every experience. Our approach to our hair salon comes from an outside perspective and different industry experiences, which becomes a powerful asset when paired with talented stylists. The hair salon itself is a special place to come for self care and relaxation. We build a relationship with our clients, which is one of my absolute favorite aspects of the salon, and we want them to feel at home at The PinkHouse. With our location, team, and vision we’ve crafted an experience like no other.

Rachel’s

SIDE OF THE STORY

We have an extremely special place to share with the Charleston community. Alyssa first put it into words when we were in the brainstorm phase – clients should be able to walk in and get any service they can receive in NYC, LA, Atlanta, or Dallas but have a more charming experience. From the tea cup and saucer that your latte is served in, to the add-ons you can recieve while you process, we want the PinkHouse to be your happy place. Feeling beautiful and taking time out for yourself is SO important and we want to provide that for you.

Favorite Product
R+Co Badlands dry shampoo paste and Bleu Surreal
styling serum.

Favorite trend for 2021
Elevated knitwear – ribbed knits and elevated silhouettes delivered in a practical, step up from athleisure. For hair I love curtain bangs of varying lengths and a focus on scalp health! For makeup I am loving graphic liners – bold colors, cut creases, nostalgic liners. I am excited to see where the year goes and the explosion of creativity after a year of very low key beauty looks.

Favorite way to elevate the everyday?
Wear a little spray of perfume. My favorite right now is Gucci Flora! And take time to get a facial or massage every 3 months. Your skin and your body will thank you!

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
Take care of yourself. Workout, eat nutritious foods, take time to disconnect and read something that inspires or motivates you, and make those things a habit. When you are physically and mentally healthy, you feel beautiful.

I was born and raised in rural South Carolina and grew up on a farm with my two sisters. I recently moved back to Charleston after marrying my husband, Jacob, in August of 2019. I’m a proud Clemson graduate in Graphic + Brand Communication – Go Tigers! I enjoy gardening and I’m currently working on a spring garden while also finding a lot of joy from my many houseplants. I also help care for our salon plants, including a fiddle leaf fig! I’ve worked at New York Fashion Week and I love the energy of runway shows and the energy of the overall hair and makeup industry.

Specializes in

Blonding, makeup and styling,
hand tied extensions and scalp health.

“Rachel is nothing shy of the BEST! Every single time I am simply amazed by her ability to create the most dimensional look for my hair! She’s the only person I trust with my hair and completely changed the way I think about highlighting and hair treatment. I’m so lucky to have found Rachel!! Would highly recommend!! “

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
Make it a point to get up and do your hair, do your make up and dress with a purpose to always move forward and grow

I am from Charleston, born and raised! I have 2 dogs – Aspen Winter, a white German shepherd, and Senshi, a blue doberman. Both have been in our family since they were puppies. Prior to being in the hair industry I worked in medical administration and management for 25 years. One day I quit and found myself in Cosmetology school after watching a marathon of Tabatha Coffey, Salon Takeover on Bravo…and I never looked back! In college I was on scholarship while participating in a full
singing and dancing show choir and even placed top 8 in the nation…I’ve always had a passion for presentation and flair, and now that’s my career!

Specializes in

Blonding and natural hair colors using foiling
and balayage techniques. I also have a passion for wedding
and event hairstyling

“The staff is professional, friendly and very welcoming. But…Wow!!!! I mean…WOW. Let’s talk about my hairstylist, Jackie! She is an insanely talented hair stylist and artist. She has transformed my hair and I receive compliments everywhere I go. My hair is a tough customer but she has an amazing capability of balancing my desired look while keeping the health of my hair in focus.

Ask for Jackie!!!

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
First of all, you’re beautiful doing nothing.
But FEELING beautiful, for me, means my nails are done.
The world is in order when my nails are polished.

I moved to Charleston from Chicago in 2018, and I’ve been doing hair since 2005. I have two dogs, Feargus and Nuala, who are loving the Charleston weather much more than Chicago!
As a Taurus, it takes me a thousand years to weigh out every single possible option before making a personal decision, but who has time for that…so I’ve also been known to make super spontaneous decisions!

Specializes in

Razor cuts, natural texture, styling

“I stumbled upon Vivienne on

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
Always exude confidence, and if you don’t feel confident,
do what will make you get there!dress with a purpose
to always move forward and grow

I’m a true Charlestonian, born and raised in West Ashley! I love animals of all shapes and sizes including my 3 dogs (Molly, Rose, Beesly) and 2 cats (Lenny and Oliver). I enjoy outdoor time with my husband, Taylor, and our fur babies – we love to go to the dog park or do some afternoon fishing. I’m very high energy and I love talking to people, so a career as a stylist really spoke to me after a year of college. I have so much fun helping my clients capture their confidence and beauty through their hair! I personally have many styles I embrace, from boho to preppy
to rocker-chic.

Specializes in

Blonding techniques including foils and painting,
and lived in color.

“Rachel is a great stylist! She listens and I always end up with what I want (unlike others in the past it doesn’t turn out the way I expect and I am
disappointed) I love her energy, if I’m tired from a long day of work she
always manages to brighten my day.”

Thanks Rachel!

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
As a unique creature, accepting yourself is the first step
to feeling beautiful. And a sense of humor helps
with the aging process.

I’ve been a stylist for 24 years, and I recently became a licensed cosmetology instructor. I’ve lived in Charleston since 1999 and I love the beauty and the walkable aspects of Charleston. I also enjoy antiquing, baking and cooking. Whenever we need a baked good or dessert for the salon I’m always happy to help!

Specializes in

Helping clients find their personal style that suits lifestyle. Also, classic looks with an edge, Brazilian blowouts, and believable color.

Favorite way to elevate the everyday?
Pajama sets in a luxury material! It’s so rewarding to come home after a long day and change into a beautiful, soft matching set.

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
Value your own time, you deserve it! I feel most beautiful when I give myself enough time to get ready without feeling rushedor unprepared, whether I’m getting ready for date night or a day of errands.

I was born and raised in upstate SC, and I moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. I quickly knew that this city would be my home! I love the Lowcountry marshes and I very often take my kayak out in the Folly River or go out in the boat out with my husband, Buist. My background is in hospitality and communication, but overall I enjoy taking on big projects and seeing just how much I can accomplish. One of my favorite accomplishments so far was a successful cross-country bicycle trip from Florida to California. I’m a people person and I love working day in and day out with our stellar team and clients!

Specializes in

Operations, client experience and team management.
“Operations” is a broad term but sometimes I really do it all! Every day is different and that’s what makes it so rewarding.

Alyssa’s Favorite Charleston Experience

Take a long sunset walk along the battery wall
and then end your day with the most delicious truffle burger at Zero George.

This product has literally changed my morning routine
and gives my hair natural lift and texture. I LOVE it.

Monochromatic looks, pastels and sorbets, head scarfs
(it’s never been out in my book but I’m LOVING that it’s so in right now), and elevated nods to the 90’s (so good).

Favorite way to elevate the everyday?
Use little details throughout your life to make things feel special.I drink my morning juice out of a crystal double old fashioned glass and my desk chair is a tall, sleek wingback chair so that I feel put together and confident (even if I’m in my sweats!).

1 Piece of advice on how to feel beautiful
Never wear something that doesn’t make you feel 100% confident and gorgeous. Inner confidence will shine through making you feel and look beautiful. One piece of advice I always carry with me from my grandmother, “Dress for the person you want to be”
(also, “Life is short, buy the shoes”).

Originally from rural South Carolina and a graduate of the
College of Charleston, it was always my dream to live in
New York City. After working a couple of years out of college as an event coordinator in Charleston, I moved to the Big Apple to follow those dreams. There, I worked for a big celebrity (hint: we might share the same name) for almost 9 years learning all about marketing, building brands, growing businesses, design, production, and just about every way to live life beautifully and functionally. During that time, I met my husband, we fell in love with renovating spaces, and had two beautiful boys. We spend part of our time in NYC and part of the time in Charleston but it always feels the best being at home, in the south, teaching my boys how to be gentlemen and appreciate the outdoors.

Specializes in

Marketing, branding, and transforming older spaces that need new life. My favorite thing about my job is looking at a bunch of random puzzle pieces and figuring out how to put them all together to create a beautiful outcome – that can mean a space, a business, an event, or just an outfit.Every day is different and that’s what makes it so rewarding.

Rachel’s Favorite Charleston Experience

After a long day, I like to shimmy up to the bar at The Peninsula Grill with a glass of bubbles
and a divine slice of their famous coconut cake. It makes any day end on a special note.
